Caritas Hellas coordinates operations in emergencies, implements social work and advocates for a better and fairer world for all people. Caritas Hellas management, employees and volunteers strongly believe that it is important for people to live with dignity. 

In the financial year 2016-2017, Caritas Hellas’s work directly benefitted the lives of over 75.813 thousand people in Greece.  This was possible only through the support of our generous supporters in Greece and our funders worldwide.

87% of every €1.00 donated by our supporters was spent on the organisation’s charitable activities.

Caritas Hellas pays no bonuses to any member of staff.

Donations are managed with the highest level of professionalism and accountability.  Caritas Hellas is bounded by Caritas Internationalis Financial Standards and all Programs are audited by external and independent auditors.

 

Funding

Currently, the vast majority of Caritas Hellas Programs is funded by the global Caritas Network Member Organizations.

Bilateral Programs are funded by Caritas Switzerland, Caritas Germany and Caritas Italiana.

Other major funding sources include Stavros Niarchos Foundation and UNHCR, through CRS.
