This time, the Career Counselor of Caritas Hellas had the opportunity to invite a representative from, the oldest and one of the most popular job search websites in Greece.

These workshops are running for the 1st time in the new area of Caritas Hellas in the neighborhood of Kypseli (42, Fokionos Negri street), every July between 12.00 and 14.30. They are addressed to Greeks, refugees and migrants who are in a job search process and have a basic familiarity with the Greek or English language. Interpretation can be provided, in French, Arabic or French, in cases of linguistic difficulty, always in accordance with the availability of the Social Center.

At this meeting, on Friday 19th of July, our guest and Digital Marketing Specialist at, Athanasia Tsoukala, made a more specialized presentation in the field of job search and job opportunities through social media tools. She spoke briefly about the different types of social media, the accounts that everyone can make as a user, and more emphasis was given on the Linked In platform, explaining the great importance of creating a professional profile on that site.

Closing the job search circle for July, the job counselor of Caritas Hellas in Kypseli made a summary with the participants on Friday, July 26th, on what they had learnt throughout this month about job search techniques. Only a few of the positive results we can see through these meetings are the fact that the participants have managed to turn into people who are now able to set specific work goals, to target the professions of interest to them and to filter them according to their profile, to consolidate teamwork and collaboration by helping each other where they had some difficulty and to evolve through their own intensive effort to independent users, capable to make their own job search, using all available for this purpose tools.

The workshops are part of the Program “Social and Economic Integration of Refugees and Immigrants in Athens” concerning the support and integration of refugees and immigrants in Greek society. The Program is implemented by Caritas Hellas and is funded by Caritas Switzerland.
