At the Social Spot of Caritas Hellas in Neos Kosmos the Informational Seminar on the subject of “Social Enterprise: New Forms of Labor” was held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 by the Legal Adviser of Caritas Hellas-Ms Andriana Mardaki.
.During the seminar, the participants-unaccompanied minors coming from Elaionas Safe Zone run by Greek Council for Refugees – GCR, had the opportunity to be informed about the characteristics of social economy and how to set up a social cooperative enterprise.
Initially, there was a presentation of the different domains in which social enterprises could be developed, the types of social enterprises and their founding process. Explanations were also given as to how could a person join one of them as a member, and what are the privileges offered by their constitution. Additionally, guidelines were given for the formulation of a strategic plan, followed also by questions from the participants.
The seminar is part of the «METAVASIS Project – Participation, Empowerment and Social Inclusion of Refugees / Migrants in Greece» concerning the support and integration of refugees and immigrants in Greek society. The Project is run by Caritas Hellas and is funded by Caritas Germany.
