On Friday 2nd of August 2019, at the Social Spot of Neos Kosmos, an innovative and creative educational experience came to its end. The Program was about the Tourism Perspectives and Tour Guiding Services and was carried out by Caritas Hellas and International Organization of Migration.
The participants learned about tourism prospects, basic guiding principles, Greek history and mythology which were delivered by Dr. Antonios Giannopoulos, while they got acquainted with touristic Athens by organized tour guiding field trips that were carried out. Afterwards, the participants, were divided in two different groups and each of them presented their own thematic route in the center of the city, which gave them the opportunity to acquire the key of integration to their new homeland. Via this seminar the participants learned about the Greek culture and had the opportunity to visit the most beautiful streets of the city and at the end to present their own beloved places with their own perspective and based on their own interests. After four weeks (43 hours) full of knowledge and experience, a first step to a theoretical and technical brilliance was taken, something that can be evolved and eventually followed professionally by anyone who desires to do so.
At the end, there was a celebration about the successful termination of the seminar, at the yard of the Social Spot of Neos Kosmos, where the participants received certification of attendance.
Caritas Hellas congratulates all the participants for the effort that they made and the successful completion of the Program.
