Presentation of the new training course launched by Caritas Hellas in collaboration with Odyssea and the “Cooking Classes”

On Friday, 10 May, at the Center for Social Integration and Employability of Caritas Hellas in Kipseli, a presentation was held on the launch of a new training course in cooking.

The Cooking Seminar will consist of a cycle of 10 intensive lessons, twice a week, extending over about 1.5 months. In this context, the participants will be trained on all the basic subjects they need to know in order to have a first essential knowledge in the field of cooking. At the end of the courses, they will be given a certificate of participation, and will be linked to relevant employment and retraining agencies as part of a first step in contact with the labor market.

The lessons of the seminar take place in collaboration with Odyssea, with accredited chefs and cooking classes “Cooking Courses”.

The seminar is part of the Program “Social and Economic Integration of Refugees and Immigrants in Athens” concerning the support and integration of refugees and immigrants in Greek society. The Program is implemented by Caritas Hellas and is funded by Caritas Switzerland.
